Key Responsibilities

 
  • Assist in manufacturing cost accounting - analyzing, setting cost standards, and cost allocations
  • Help maintain fixed asset and equipment management records and reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting
  • Review and facilitate accounts payable payments, including processing invoices for supply chain, vendors, and contractors
  • Oversee AP and AR, including conducting outreach to customers regarding outstanding accounts receivable and preparing and processing customer invoices
  • Handle customer and vendor inquiries related to invoices, payments or general billing-related questions
  • Review and process travel and budgetary expense reports
  • Assist in daily cash activity reporting and accounts payable tracking
  • Provide support for monthly close schedules and preparation of accounts payable-related reconciliations
  • Support the Professional Services department’s requirements for billing and accounts payable (timecard tracking, invoicing, expensing, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Assists with quarterly and year end audit
  • Responsible for the monitoring and operating Accounting mailbox

Skills & Qualifications
 
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing cost accounting, AP and AR. 
  • 1+ years of experience in cost accounting at a manufacturing company, including:
    • Standard Costing: Setting and maintaining standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
    • Variance Analysis: Identifying differences between actual and standard costs (e.g., material, labor, and overhead variances).
    • Inventory Valuation: Ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods using methods like FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average.
    • Manufacturing Overhead Allocation: Applying overhead costs to production units based on activity drivers.
    • Gross Margin & Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Analysis: Assessing profitability by tracking production costs.
    • Capital Expenditure & Depreciation Accounting: Recording and analyzing investments in machinery, tooling, and facilities.
    • ERP & Reporting: Utilizing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to track cost flows and generate financial reports.
  • U.S. Government contracting (DCAA) accounting experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • U.S. Government contracting (DCAA) accounting experience (preferred)

Work Location & Reporting Cadence

This is an onsite role working in Wrap’s Southwest Virginia manufacturing facilities.
  • Primary Location:  Wise, VA and Norton, VA
  • Other Locations (as needed):
    • Corporate Headquarters – Miami, FL
    • Washington D.C. Metro Area
    • New York City
    • Additional offices & key operational sites based on business needs

Bonuses

You may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, the amount of which will be determined at the Company's sole discretion based on your individual performance, company performance, and other factors deemed relevant, and will be paid at the Company's discretion.
